Recruitment operation for the maritime and land based marine careers advancement project of the Service de la formation continue de l'Institut maritime du Québec (FC IMQ)

The project

As part of a call for proposals issued by the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail, the Comité sectoriel de main-d’œuvre de l’industrie maritime (CSMOIM) has solicited the Service de la formation continue de l’Institut maritime du Québec (FC IMQ) of the Collège de Rimouski to carry out the adaptation of training programs as a result of the review of the Marine Personnel Regulations and the need for the development of workforce skills in maritime and land based marine sectors.

The purpose of this project titled “Progression de carrières maritimes et périmaritimes’’ is to develop 22 training courses divided into 6 sections, each varying in duration and representing a total of 2 799 hours of training.

What the Formation continue de l’IMQ is looking for

It would be impossible to undertake such a major project without the imperative collaboration of different partners from the marine industry such as yourself.

The FC IMQ is actively recruiting content experts to develop training programs, review the content, teach and/or provide support to learners.

The content experts will be tasked with adapting current content or developing new sections and chapters of the training program. A team of experts who specialize in digital and didactic education will ensure that they receive the necessary assistance.

A content expert may choose to adapt more than one training course. They can also submit their application to become a training instructor once the course has been implemented.

Before selecting their preferred training course(s), the content expert must ensure that they possess the professional requirements. For example, the Master Mariner Certification is required for the Ship management Level 4 training course. The training chart below includes the requirements.

Remuneration

Remuneration will be established according to the policy that is in effect at the Service de la FC IMQ.
